We fell in love with the house the moment we saw it.
Stepping through the gate in the wall to a magical hidden garden. The silver birch with the squabbling jackdaws, the fruit trees on the mellow cotswold stone walls, the Kitftsgate rose reaching for the sky on the derelict barn. There never was an overall plan, the garden evolved organically over the years. Always a joy.
