A Year in Pots - Tips and ideas for keeping your container displays looking good all year round
21 Mar 2024 7:30 p.m.
- Memorial Hall
- Brown's Lane
- Charlbury
We are privileged to welcome Hariett Rycroft at the Memorial Hall, at 7.30pm.
Harriet will combine slides with a practical demonstration of 25 to 30 minutes on container gardening through the year. Questions will be welcome during the practical demonstration.
After volunteering at Hidcote Manor Gardens, Harriet worked in the garden at Whichford Pottery for nearly fourteen years, planning, planting and maintaining large displays of planted pots all year round. She then spent a few years working part-time at the Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens. She still works as a part-time gardener, teaches container gardening, and writes and blogs about gardening and horticulture.
You can read more about Harriet in her wonderfully illustrated website here: https://harrietrycroft.com/about/
Harriet's latest book, "Pots", came out at the end of 2022, published by Frances Lincoln in the Bloom series. There will be copies for sale at a reduced rate (£10 instead of £12.99). Cash or cheques only please.
Some of us may have seen Harriet on Gardeners' World in April (Episode 6, about 30 minutes in) https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001l6cb/gardeners-world-2023-episode-6
